Cartridge Filters

All cartridge filters are produced in a clean room.

PES (PolyEtherSulfone) Membrane
Absolute >99.999% efficiency
Final Filters

Code 7: aka 2-226, locking tabs, SOE (single open end). 30" has fin on closed end. 10" is flat on closed end.

The only PES-Plus absolute filter with additional Polyproplene layer
PES-PLUS filters are unique in that they have an additional layer of Polypropylene (PP) . This adds dirt load capacity.
The PP acts as a prefilter within the same cartridge. Specifically designed for wine/beer/spirits filtration.

We have added standard PES absolute filters.

Each and every PES and PES-Plus filter is integrity tested prior to packaging.

Activated Carbon Fiber
Code 7 [aka 2-226, locking tabs, SOE (single open end)]

Activated Carbon Fiber removes chlorine and organic compounds (odors).
Changeout time for 30" cartridge: 12000 gal. water. Much greater adsorption than granular activated carbon.
No carbon passes thru with product because the filter is made of woven fibers of activated carbon, not granular carbon.
Filter media is ENTIRELY ACTIVATED CARBON FIBER---hence the BLACK COLOR---there is no polypropylene fiber. Some brands have carbon fibers covered by polypropylene fibers--and they are white.

Allows a triple cartridge housing to be used with one (or two) cartridges.
2-226 (code 7)
  • Jet05 Centrifugal Pump is sufficient for these housings
  • Bleed/Blowout Valve. The small valve at the top of the filter is used to bleed air from the housing during startup. The same valve can be used to blowout the product at the end of filtration (attach a gas hose).
  • 2nd Pressure Gauge: It is the pressure difference between inlet/outlet that indicates the cartridge needs to be replaced or cleaned. However, the outlet pressure will be nearly zero if you are filtering into an open tank. Therefore, a single pressure gauge will suffice in most applications. If you are filtering into a closed or restricted system, then you will need a pressure gauge on both sides of the filter.
  • Housing bell polish: RA=8 micron-inch (inside and outside). Base polish: RA= 25 micron-inch. These values were measured by St. Patrick's with our Surface Roughness Analyzer.
  • Sanitary Gauge
    Glycerin filled diaphragm and casing
Do not remove the base from the gauge.
The purpose of the glycerin is to prevent needle chatter.
