MEP—Filling Machine Manual and Parts

MEP is a family business founded in 2002.
All MEP machines are designed, engineered, constructed, and tested entirely in-house. This is what separates MEP.

St. Patrick's has been the EXCLUSIVE importer and authorized distributor of MEP in North America since 2003, over 21 years.

MEP Filling Machine

Quick Instructions for Filling Machine. 1)Forget about the tray position. Adjust nozzle cone until fill level is correct. 2)Place tray at highest possible position.

MEP 4-spout electronic level control Filling Machine----2009 and later (best printed in color)
MEP filler earlier than 2009 is nearly identical except change in nozzle.
2009 and later nozzle schematic
2008 and earlier nozzle schematic
To correctly identify your nozzle, look carefully at Postition 8. On the newest nozzle, this is plastic plunger. On older nozzle, this is a stainless steel disc.

MEP 4-Spout Filling Machine Manual--older model, 2005 or ealier. Much different design.

Wiring of Electronic level control.
Level Relay Com to Long rod in tank
Max to Short rod
Min to Middle rod
Sensitivity=2.5 kOhm, Mode=UP, Delay=Off

[This is least sensitive setting and is good for wine. Products that have distilled water (some vodkas for example), may be better with increased sensitivity. Just try the unit first---if pump is not turning on/off as it should---increase the sensitivity.]

If your product is pure distilled water, then even the most sensitive setting may result in intermittent operation. The easy fix for this is to bring the long and short threaded rods closer together. The easiest means is to put nuts on each of the rods. For example, put 2 nuts on the short threaded rod at the very bottom. Tighten them against each other. You need M6x1 metric nuts (at Home Depot ...)

To switch transformer to 220 V, simply move the wire from 110 V to 220 V.

MEP-20 Pump 695
We sell this pump only as a replacement for MEP fillers.
MEP-20 does not have a switch or cord.
If you have filler with 110V pump, that is the Jet05. go here for that.

230V, single phase, 0.75 HP, 60 Hz. 3.6 Amp. 930 rpm. 5.3 GPM. 1" TriClamp.

Impeller for MEP-20 Pump $60

High Pressure Gauge--N2 Regulator $15
3000 psi. Left hand thread
Low Pressure Gauge--N2 Regulator $14
60 psi. Left hand thread

Check Valve
We do not carry this item. No-return inlet, next item, replaces it.
Attached to inlet of filling machine on older units.

No-return inlet--complete setup $175
This is a new desgn of the inlet to the filler. It replaces the entire old inlet which included Rmp0812 (plastic inlet part) and the check valve.

Sparging Arm for filler $45
This is the stainless steel tube of the sparger, ~11" length.
Also includes the stainless piece that it threads into.

Solenoid Valve for Filling Machine $60
This is solenoid valve for gas inlet. Electrical part only.

White Rod for sparger arm $90
Rmp1060. White plastic rod that holds solenoid valve and sparger. It bolts to left side of filler.

Tubing for Nozzle-to-Tank return $3.50/ft
Nylon. 8 mm OD x 6 mm ID. Just push on.
You need 8' for all 4 nozzles.

Nozzle Parts
Nozzles should be lubricated daily during use. Use Food Grade Silicone spray as a quick and easy lubrication. If you dissassemble to clean, then use heavier food grade lubricant such as petroleum jelly (vaseline) before reassembling. Nozzles operate better (easier without drips) and orings last much longer if lubricated routinely.

Use the schematics to identify your nozzle.
