Letina tanks have many superior quality features

• Higher quality lifting arms with 2 brackets (not one) welded to tank for smooth operation.
• Higher quality finish of welds—polished and treated—not porous.
• Tank ports are Swaged to increase strength (as opposed to simply butt-welding ferrules to flat punched hole)

Swaged Port and Reinforcing Ring.

Swaging means punching a hole, then pushing out the tank wall. This makes a stronger connection. All ports are swaged.

Reinforcing Ring is actually on the inside of the tank but its outline can be seen in the photo. It is 3.5" diameter x 1/4" thick. This greatly strengthens the racking valve connection.

LETINA (Inclined) Sloped-Bottom Tanks with Cooling Jackets—Variable Capacity

These are flat bottom tanks that are sloped from back to front (5%) to make cleanout easier.
The most versatile style of tank suitable for red and white, fermentation and storage.

• All welds are polished and treated (not porous) for sanitary food use.
• Tank wall is SWAGED before welding on ferrules. This provides a smooth curvature for strength and sanitary finish. [as opposed to butt-welding a ferrule to a simple flat punched hole]
• Reinforcing Ring is welded to tank for upper valve. This greatly increases strength---allows mounting of thru-valve mixers.

• Square (rectangular) tanks maximixe space. Ideal for cellars.
• Minimum of 30% more volume compared to round tanks. But this can be much larger if depth of tank is larger than width.

• Tank edges are rounded, without sharp edges or angles.
